war tactics
The Blitzkrieg, meaning "Lightning War", was the first phase of WW2 in Europe. Germany wanted to avoid a long war. They quickly overran Europe in many short attacks. They used tanks, planes, and artillery. Germany successfully used the Blitzkrieg tactic against Poland (attacked in September 1939), Denmark (April 1940), Norway (April 1940), Belgium (May 1940), the Netherlands (May 1940), Luxembourg (May 1940), France (May 1940), Yugoslavia (April 1941), and Greece (April 1941).
A Kamikaze was a tactic used by the Japanese. Young men would volunteer to fight as suicide pilots in WW2. They would fly into the air on planes and then crash themselves into the Allies' boats, soldiers, etc.
Bombing was a tactic used to take out many threats in one shot. A plane would go up into the air and release a series of bombs over the enemy, taking many of them out in one hit.
